In a video that’s since received 8 million views on Instagram and half a million on TikTok at the time of writing, interviewers asked a pedestrian who would become the titular “hawk tuah” girl for a move in bed that makes men go crazy.
The girl gave her candid answer without missing a beat, complete with mimicking the sound of spitting – hence the nickname netizens have since been using for her.

Stern went on to praise her being uninhibited and natural, and added, “As a dad myself of three girls, that’s every father’s worst nightmare.”

There’s a rumour that the “hawk tuah” girl has been fired from her job since her video interview went viral. That would likely be the result of Tippah County Tribune’s Facebook page, where a post dated June 21 claimed that the girl’s name is actually Hailey Wellington. The post added that she was a preschool teacher at Epstein Day School before getting fired for her viral quote.
The post further alleged that students in school are now “spitting on each other”. But it’s all likely a joke – the page makes it clear that the post is satirical, and no one has certified its authenticity.
